CHRISTMAS LUNCH 2023
The annual Macmillan Festive Lunch was held in the Merchant Taylors Hall in York on the 4th December was a huge success, enjoyed by everyone who attended. Beautiful surroundings, delicious Christmas fayre by Poppy’s Caterers and musical entertainment by John Lane and Richard Haynes all made for a very festive afternoon. The event raised an amazing £4,607 which will help support people living with cancer in the Yorkshire region.

Dom M’Banga from the Hooting Owl Gin Distillery drew the winning tickets as follows:1st prize – ticket no 1378 – £100 Love Cheese hamper2nd prize – ticket no 1763 – £50 Love Cheese hamper3rd prize – ticket no 0897 – £50 Love Cheese hamperAll winners have been notified.The raffle raised £1,963 for Macmillan Cancer Support in Yorkshire.A big thank you to everyone who took part in the raffle.

Macmillan York is an award winning Committee of enthusiastic, diverse and dedicated volunteers raising vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support throughout the year. All Committee face to face fundraising has been suspended during the current circumstances but despite having to cancel York Race Day (usually producing income of £70,000) all bucket collections, the Festive Lunch, Coffee Mornings and the Carol Concert we raised an incredible £31,148.34.
